8,000 Member-Strong Teamsters Local 911 supports Democrat Ricardo Lara for Assembly

LOS ANGELES—On the heels of an endorsement by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 11, Democrat Ricardo Lara today received the endorsement of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 911 for his strong commitment to fight for higher wages, strong benefits and safe working conditions.

“I am proud to have received the support of Teamsters Local 911,” said Ricardo Lara. “Together we will fight for the American Dream… good jobs for every Californian.”

“Now more than ever, we must stand together to fight off a concerted effort to restrict the rights of organized labor,” Lara added. “Instead, we should be encouraging working men and women to participate in elections and politics and make their voices heard.”

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 911 joins the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 11, International Union of Painters & Allied Trades District Council 36, the International Association of Heat & Frost Insulators and Allied Workers Local 5, and the American Federation of Teachers Local 1521 in supporting Ricardo Lara for State Assembly.
